Pearl Harbor Attack

On December 7, 1941, Japan launched a surprise attack on the U.S. Naval Station at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, drawing the United States directly into World War II. The assault killed more than 2,400 Americans and destroyed or damaged numerous naval vessels and aircraft. The attack became one of the most consequential events in American history.
