AmericanStars250 was created to celebrate America's 250th anniversary and to recognize the people whose stories help define our nation.

As the United States approaches this historic milestone, we believe that the story of America is not only found in books, monuments, or historic landmarks. It is also found in the lives of everyday people — families, veterans, entrepreneurs, educators, public servants, community leaders, and countless others whose contributions help strengthen their communities and shape the future of the country.

AmericanStars250 provides an opportunity for individuals and organizations from all 50 states to become part of a nationwide commemorative project honoring those stories.

Our vision extends far beyond 2026.

While the project was created in recognition of America's 250th anniversary, it is designed with future generations in mind. We intend for participant profiles and historical records to remain accessible for years to come, creating a lasting collection of personal stories that reflects the people behind America's ongoing story.

Those who reserve a place on the map may create a personal profile highlighting their background, values, achievements, service, family history, and aspirations. Participants may also choose to share photographs, memories, milestones, and messages that reflect what matters most to them.

Over time, these profiles can become something more than a simple record. They can become part of a family's legacy — a place where children, grandchildren, and future generations can learn about those who came before them, revisit their stories, and preserve memories that might otherwise be lost.

In this way, AmericanStars250 is intended to serve not only as a commemorative project, but also as a growing archive of American lives, experiences, and contributions.
