AmericanStars250 is a commemorative project created to celebrate the people, families, organizations, and communities that help shape the story of the United States.
These Community Guidelines are designed to help keep the project respectful, welcoming, and meaningful for everyone.
While our Terms of Service establish the legal rules for using the Services, these Community Guidelines describe the standards we encourage every Participant to follow.
Treat every Participant with courtesy and respect.
AmericanStars250 welcomes people from different backgrounds, communities, professions, beliefs, and life experiences. We ask everyone to communicate in a thoughtful and respectful manner.
Content that is abusive, threatening, harassing, or intended to intimidate others is not appropriate for this project.
Share information that is truthful to the best of your knowledge.
Your Profile represents you, your family, your organization, or your community. We encourage Participants to provide accurate information and to update their Profile if important information changes.
If you discover an error, please correct it as soon as reasonably possible.
Only submit content that you have the right to use.
Before uploading photographs, logos, artwork, or other materials, please make sure you have the necessary permission.
Respect the privacy, intellectual property, and personal rights of others.
AmericanStars250 exists to commemorate America's 250th anniversary and the people who are part of its story. Profiles should reflect that purpose.
We encourage Participants to share:
Participant Profiles are intended to be public. Before publishing your Profile, consider carefully what information you choose to share.
Avoid including confidential, sensitive, or private information that you would not want to be publicly accessible.
Please help us maintain an environment that is suitable for a broad public audience. Do not submit content that:
