Treat every Participant with courtesy and respect.

AmericanStars250 welcomes people from different backgrounds, communities, professions, beliefs, and life experiences. We ask everyone to communicate in a thoughtful and respectful manner.

Content that is abusive, threatening, harassing, or intended to intimidate others is not appropriate for this project.

Share information that is truthful to the best of your knowledge.

Your Profile represents you, your family, your organization, or your community. We encourage Participants to provide accurate information and to update their Profile if important information changes.

If you discover an error, please correct it as soon as reasonably possible.

Only submit content that you have the right to use.

Before uploading photographs, logos, artwork, or other materials, please make sure you have the necessary permission.

Respect the privacy, intellectual property, and personal rights of others.

AmericanStars250 exists to commemorate America's 250th anniversary and the people who are part of its story. Profiles should reflect that purpose.

We encourage Participants to share:

• personal stories;
• family history;
• community involvement;
• military or public service;
• volunteer work;
• educational achievements;
• professional accomplishments;
• organizational contributions;
• messages celebrating America's 250th anniversary.

Participant Profiles are intended to be public. Before publishing your Profile, consider carefully what information you choose to share.

Avoid including confidential, sensitive, or private information that you would not want to be publicly accessible.

Please help us maintain an environment that is suitable for a broad public audience. Do not submit content that:

• is unlawful;
• contains hate speech or unlawful discrimination;
• promotes violence or criminal activity;
• contains pornography or sexually explicit material;
• promotes scams or fraudulent schemes;
• intentionally spreads false or misleading information;
• includes malicious software or harmful links.

Do not upload material that belongs to someone else without permission.

If you use photographs, artwork, logos, or other copyrighted materials, make sure you have the legal right to publish them.

If you believe your intellectual property rights have been violated, please contact us so we can review the matter.

Participant Profiles may include information about organizations, businesses, or personal websites where permitted.

However, the Services should not be used primarily for:

• unsolicited advertising;
• deceptive marketing;
• mass promotion;
• misleading claims;
• abusive search engine practices;
• automated spam.

If you discover content that appears to violate these Guidelines or our Terms of Service, please let us know.

Community reports help us maintain a respectful and trustworthy environment for everyone.

AmericanStars250 may review submitted Profiles and other User Content to help ensure compliance with our Terms of Service and these Community Guidelines.

Where reasonably appropriate, we may:

• request corrections or clarification;
• temporarily delay publication;
• remove content that does not comply with our policies;
• restrict participation in cases of repeated or serious violations.

Whenever reasonably practicable, we seek to act fairly, consistently, and in good faith.

AmericanStars250 is designed to preserve stories for future generations. Every Participant helps shape the quality, character, and long-term value of this project.
